8-2-14 Air Quality Report

Smoke Synopsis:
Expect another dry and hot day today, with some change on the horizon. Short-range expect light and variable winds with upslope/downslope diurnal pattern dominating. Look for more smoke to be visible coming from within the fire perimeters as fire activity continues to increase. Smoke from columns will settle into low-lying/valley areas overnight into early morning and could be heavy in some places but will lift out with daytime heating. Mid-level moisture entering from the south will bring with it the potential for isolated thunderstorms today.
