June 3, 6 pm looking at smokey haze across Bellingham Bay to Orcas Island in the West. I have smoke symptoms of headache, eyes burning and some restricted breathing. I assume this smoke is from Alberta wildfires but I cannot find any confirmation that the air is actually smokey in the Bellingham area. Anyone know where to find confirmation.
ReplyDeleteHello, sorry about your symptoms but its definitely not the Alberta fires. Winds are blowing that smoke well east of us. In fact your complaint and a few others over the weekend from that area are a mystery to us as none of the area monitors or satellite images are recording fires or smoke. Perhaps some small, local sources? Bellingham airport has been recording steady 10+mph south winds, too strong for smoke to linger around.
